One night, a little knitting, a lot of learning.

Last Friday my LYS hosted an End ALZ charity fundraiser. You all know I'm down for a little charity knitting, so off I went. I gave my donation, bought my yarn and started knitting. Thinking this was pretty much how the evening would be, women chatting while making. Instead there was more as we heard from the shop's owner and DIL as they both shared their personal experiences and explained why they were walking to end Alzheimers. We learned ALZ facts, we had discussions. It was an informative evening and I left feeling fulfilled.

My little hat is made with Simplicity Hikoo in Red Hat Purple, on size 4 needles. I'm certain there is a pattern out there, but I made this as I went and left notes on my Ravelry page. This hat, along with other handcrafted items are on sale at Mosaic Yarn Studio. All proceeds will support the owner's team in their fundraising walk this fall. If you don't need a hat, can't make it to the shop, or just wish to donate, visit the team's fundraising page, Whistling Cardinals. As with all charities, together we can make a difference.
